Suzy Aftabizadeh is an Athens native with a deep commitment to community engagement and youth prevention programming.

She earned degrees in Spanish and Biological Sciences from Ohio University before serving as a COMCorps/AmeriCorps member with Athens City School District for two years. Through her work with students and families, Suzy developed a strong passion for supporting her community and addressing local needs.

Now based in Columbus, she remains closely connected to Appalachian Ohio, frequently returning to the region to explore its landscapes and culture.
